Gazeley History Society is a local history society with an interest in both local and general history.

Our main aims are:

To promote and encourage interest in and knowledge of the history of Gazeley village in Suffolk, UK.

To promote and encourage interest in history in general.

To form a nucleus of people with an informed knowledge of Gazeley and its history.

To aid and encourage small groups or individuals in their own research.

To meet with other local history groups to exchange views and promote the ideals of local history

We also have regular meetings with guest speaker, arrange other related history events on topics that we feel may be of interest to our members and research both local and general history.

General co-ordinator for the Gazeley History Society is Hilary Appleton ([email protected] - Tel: 01638 750725)  and the co-ordinators for each working group are also listed on the right side of this page.

Please feel free to contact either Hillary for more general information regarding meetings and events or one of the working group co-ordinators if you are interested in helping in our research or perhaps you have something to contribute which you feel may be of interest.

Either way please feel free to get in touch.
